By creating an account or using MyCitadel.ai ("MyCitadel," "the Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the application. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
MyCitadel is a personal life management platform that helps you track relationships, personal goals, health metrics, and life events. It includes an AI-powered assistant called the Oracle, which uses information you provide to offer personalized guidance and insights.
The Oracle is powered by Anthropic's Claude AI. Responses from the Oracle are generated by an AI system and are intended for informational and personal reflection purposes only. They do not constitute professional advice of any kind, including medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.
You must be at least 13 years old to use MyCitadel. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@mycitadel.ai if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of someone else without their knowledge and consent.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You own the data you enter into MyCitadel. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter and for ensuring you have the right to store information about third parties (such as contacts you add). You should not enter sensitive information about other people without their knowledge where appropriate.
You represent that your use of the Service and the content you submit does not violate any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

Some features of MyCitadel require a paid subscription. By subscribing you agree to pay the fees associated with your chosen plan. Fees are charged in advance on a monthly or annual basis depending on your selection.
Payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment information you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store your payment card information.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days advance notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
We offer a free tier with limited features and usage. We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue the free tier at any time with reasonable notice.
MyCitadel and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our written permission.
The MyCitadel name, logo, and "The Oracle" branding are our trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written consent.
Your use of MyCitadel is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.
MyCitadel integrates with third-party services including Google (authentication), Anthropic (AI), and Stripe (payments). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
MyCitadel may display affiliate links in certain features such as gift recommendations. These will be disclosed clearly. We may earn a commission on purchases made through affiliate links at no additional cost to you.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We are not responsible for any data loss, although we take reasonable precautions to prevent it.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MyCitadel and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved in the courts located in Ohio.
Before filing a claim, you agree to try to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at support@mycitadel.ai. We will try to resolve the dispute within 30 days. If the dispute is not resolved, either party may pursue formal legal action.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
